Brazilian International Cacapa signed Newcastle for free in late 2000 from Olympique Lyonnais.

Newcastle was a horrible side back then.

He found himself difficult to suit in the English football, where he always faced fallibility with the ball and lacked the ability to take control of his part and not to forget his injuries as a result of which, he eventually let the Toons down. After the Magpies got relegated in the 2008-2009 season, he was never able to make a comeback and it let ashes over his hopes as being the 1000th player of Newcastle United.

He just did not have the fire on the thrust.
