Arsenal playmaker is yet to sign a new deal at Emirates with only 12 months left in his current contract. But there may be another option for him.

According to reports Arsenal star Mesut Ozil have told his agent to seal him summer move to Barcelona.

He played 90 mins as Arsenal came back to win against Leicester City 4-3 in a full of action and excitement match on the first day of the new Premier League season. But his future remains uncertain and now reports in Spain are claiming he wants to leave London.

Don Balon report that Ozil has asked his agent to contact Barcelona and seal him a move.

Barcelona are trying to sign Coutinho but the deal has hit a brick wall and is unlikely to happen this summer.

After Neymar left Barcelona for PSG on a world record fee Barcelona have been trying to fill that spot by signing Verrati or Dembele but they may have a new option in Ozil if the reports are to be believed.
