The Welshman has risen through the ranks and perhaps the most prominent member of the Blancos, even ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, a couple of seasons ago this was not the case; Bale had found it hard to adapt to the Spanish capital and was not a regular by any means. The defining moment of his career came when he ran riot past Bartra after the Catalonian defender equalized a Di Maria goal.

His strength and the audacious sprint left everyone perplexed and bewildered and the jubilant Valencia crowd could not have enough of it. To make things better, it was Bale’s first Clasico and boy won’t he remember it for long!
