6) Ruud Gullit to Chelsea
The Dutchman was a prominent figure in the world football during his playing days. In ’87, Gullit won the Balon D’Or. However, injuries slowed down his progress while playing for Milan. He struggled for consistency in the early part of the 90s. The midfielder joined Chelsea in ’95 for free and after a year was appointed their player-manager. He led the club to FA cup win, Chelsea’s first trophy in nearly forty years.
