For the top spot on this list, it’s too hard just to pin it on one leg of this semi final because Real Madrid were favorites to win both legs. Highly likely to be the first team to win the Champions League in consecutive seasons, Ronaldo came into the first leg with a lot of pride and walked home with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata. But with the 2nd leg being at the Bernabeu, Los Blancos were even bigger favorites to exploit Juve’s defense now that they were at home. However, the determined Italian center backs in Leonardo Bonucci and Georgio Chiellini helped The Old Lady hold Madrid to just 1 goal via a Ronaldo penalty. And cometh the hour, cometh the man, Madrid youth product Alvaro Morata swooped in with a 57th minute equalizer to put Juventus on aggregate, knocking his former club out of the Champions League.
