Top 10 Backup Strikers

1) Alvaro Morata

Empoli - Juventus

While Chicharito was a decent signing, people are still scratching their heads about how Real Madrid decided to sell Alvaro Morata to Juventus for just €20 million in the summer. The Madrid youth product was competing for Karim Benzema’s starting spot during his last season at the club, scoring 13 goals in just 8 starts for club and country in 2013/2014. And if his performances this season have proved anything, it is that the Spanish striker will be making Madrid regret their decision in these next few years. With Carlos Tevez continuing to impress everyone with 14 goals and 7 assists, Morata has made just 6 starts for Juventus in the Serie A this season. However, his ability to come on from the bench and make an immediate impact on the game has been unmatched, collecting 6 goals and 4 assists while only starting 31% of the matches he’s played in. Morata’s great versatility on the striker’s position, acting as both a creator and finisher, has been incredible for his age and if he keeps this up, the Spanish protégé won’t be just a backup striker for much longer.

Tuchel’s stylish football and history of nurturing players would certainly suit Arsenal. He has also been linked with PSG job but Arsenal job may be suited for him as a long-term project.
