1.Alfredo Di Stefano

Real Madrid has 11 Champions League titles under its belt. 5 of them came in the 1950’s and they came in 5 successive seasons. For that, Madrid has Di Stefano to thank. Di Stefano almost joined Barcelona, but Madrid used their political influence to bring the classy Argentinian to the capital city. Upon his arrival, he transformed the club completely and oversaw its most successful period ever. With him Madrid left Barcelona chasing shadows, and was by far the best club in the world. Di Stefano was the most complete footballer then, and remains so even now. He was unmatched in every footballing skill and could do anything at any time. Although Raul and Ronaldo broke his goal record for the club, he is still Madrid’s leading goalscorer in ElClasicos. It just doesn’t get any better than him.
