The former Chelsea striker who struggled with the Blues was once a very likely candidate to win the Ballon d’Or when he played for Liverpool in the 2007-08 season. For Liverpool, he scored 33 goals in 46 games and scored the winning goal for the Spain national team that won them the European Championships then. If it wasn’t for Ronaldo or Messi, Torres surely would have won the prestigious Ballon d’Or award in 2008.
