PA-8443840-650x444

Chelsea stalwart John Terry may be one of the greatest captains of the Premier League, but his off-field issues have blighted his reputation.

In January 2010, shock waves were spread as it was reported that the Blues skipper was allegedly involved with his Chelsea team-mate Wayne Bridge’s wife, Vanessa Perroncel. Terry and Bridge were considered to be good friends but this incident changed their relationship forever.

Bridge would later on refuse to play for England if he’s to play alongside Terry and refused to shake his hands whenever he was up against Chelsea.

Terry had to contend the repercussions of his own, as he was stripped off the captaincy before the 2010 World Cup and his form on the field deteriorated.
