5 Most Unlucky Footballers Ever
  1. Igor Akinfeev:

A unique yet disturbing record held by the Russian saw a streak of 40 UCL games where he failed to keep a clean sheet. Often hailed as the rightful successor to Van der Saar, he was scouted by Manchester United only to be left with disappointment.

His luck seemed to shine versus AS Monaco who was a goal behind and saw Igor make some impeccable saves. Bernardo had thought of a different script and netted a goal 3 minutes from time.

Igor was seen devastated and all consolation went in vain as he is yet to keep a clean sheet in UCL. With age getting the better of him, he is desperate to make amends.
