From being a shadow side to their famous city rivals Real Madrid, Atletico have come a long way to achieving glory under current manager Diego Simeone. With recent wins against Real Madrid and also staying ahead in the title race on the points table, Atletico have covered some serious distance considering their lack of spending prowess compared to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
