3) Thibaut Courtois (Belgium)
It is easy to forget that Courtois is still 26 years old, especially given the fact that he has been around for quite some time now. Much of the talk about the Belgian has been about his future, with reports suggesting that he is indeed angling for a move away from Chelsea this time. There could certainly be no better place for auditioning than the World Cup. Like France, Belgium are in the middle of a golden generation with their players easily worth more than 60 million each. It is difficult for a goalkeeper to be a standout in such squads but Courtois has experienced and done the same before. The 6ft 6in goalkeeper will surely have another fine tournament, but one with the golden glove at the end would be the culmination.
