5) Rui Patricio (Portugal)
The Portuguese arrives in Russia on the back off a complicated season with Sporting Lisbon, as the club went into nothing less than a turmoil following a Europa league loss to Atletico. So much so, that Patricio has demanded his contract with Lisbon be terminated. Nevertheless, in Russia, his focus will solely be on building on the Euro title win the national side enjoyed two years ago. The 30-year old is a fine goalkeeper and will be counted on to provide a cool head in precarious situations. Fernando Santos’ men were a menace for the opposition side as they proved almost impenetrable throughout the Euros. If the same tactics are to be deployed again, expect Patricio to bag the Golden glove.
