4. Ruud Krol
Netherlands have produced some world class football players, the likes of Yohan Cruyff, Ruud Gullit and Van Nistelrooy a few of them. But these are only the ones we remember. Over the years, there have been many Dutch maestros who have been unfairly forgotten, Ruud Krol being one of them. Krol spent most of his career in Ajax playing as a defender. But he was one of a kind as Krol could play anywhere along the back four, and occasionally even took up the CDM role. He even led his country to the runners up spot in the 1978 World Cup. Unfortunately Krol never achieved the heights that some of his more illustrious teammates did. Hence, he never received enough credit for his regular match winning displays.
