Eredivisie champions Ajax have a long history of nurturing raw, unexploited talents into a top drawer talent. It has been their custom of sorts to build a strong foundation for blooming players, not only Scandinavian,  but others such as Martin Odegaard.

Players such as Daley Blind, Christian Erikson, de Jong are some of the renowned alumni of the youth team.

Although Odegaard has been waxed lyrical by Real Madrid and is pocketing a hefty remuneration there, there’s no guarantee that he may breakthrough into the first team. The capital club has a history of jettisoning promising youngsters without handing them an opportunity with the senior team. The likes of Samuel Eto’o, Alvaro Negredo, Juan Mata all come under the bracket and Odegaard too, is running the risk of enduring the same prospect in future.

But at Ajax, it’s different. Not only do they mold players, but also give them a chance to showcase their adptness with the first team. Now that’s a huge plus point about this club.

Ajax would have been a perfect launchpad for the Norwegian, by all accounts.

Considered as one of the finest strikers of all time, Klose joined Lazio from German Champions Bayern Munich in 2011. After falling out with Louis Van Gaal, Klose was one of the two strikers shipped out by the Dutchman during his time in Bavaria. However, the move did not halt Klose’ progress as he continued his prowess in front of goal scoring 48 goals for the Italian side. At 36, Klose broke the world record for most goals scored by a player at the World Cup scoring the second goal on that torrid night for Brazilian football.
