Borussia Dortmund striker Aubameyang was the only other bright spot apart from Marco Reus in the depleted Dortmund side that had a catastrophic season last time around. The Gabonese international netted 20 times in all competitions and also had 8 assists to his name.

Aubameyang has been a huge success with Der BVB ever since he joined them from St.Etienne in 2013 and has also garnered attention from other European clubs.

Arsenal, though, have been strongly linked with the Gabon talisman. With a market value estimated to be around £30 million, Aubameyang is one of the few players who are said to be decamping the Rhine Valley outfit this summer and North London seems to be most likely destination.

However, the move did not halt Klose’ progress as he continued his prowess in front of goal scoring 48 goals for the Italian side. At 36, Klose broke the world record for most goals scored by a player at the World Cup scoring the second goal on that torrid night for Brazilian football.
