1.Raheem Sterling

Liverpool-v-Southampton

Liverpool dynamite Raheem Sterling had just made his debut in Europe’s elite competition last season but will have to wait sometime longer if he’s to partake in it again as the Reds finished 6th in the league this year and missed out on the Holy Grail of the continent by a massive 8 points.

However, the young gun from England has refused to commit his future with the club by rejecting a contract extension towards the end of last season and aspires to ply his trade elsewhere. Although there has been reports of interests from Manchester City and Real Madrid, there is no concrete intimation from those clubs.

A failure of moving to a newer club would see Sterling remain at Liverpool and subsequently, miss out on Champions League next season.

His debut was not up to the expected standards, however, he has since given some fine displays for the blues.

Considered as one of the finest strikers of all time, Klose joined Lazio from German Champions Bayern Munich in 2011. After falling out with Louis Van Gaal, Klose was one of the two strikers shipped out by the Dutchman during his time in Bavaria. However, the move did not halt Klose’ progress as he continued his prowess in front of goal scoring 48 goals for the Italian side. At 36, Klose broke the world record for most goals scored by a player at the World Cup scoring the second goal on that torrid night for Brazilian football.
